As a parent with small children growing up, it is difficult when they have Big Feelings and Emotions and throw a big fit when they are angry or upset. Sometimes we as parents do not know what to do when they have these massive explosions of feelings and emotions and give in to them by offering them tablet time, tv time, or whatever they had wanted to avoid that tantrum burst especially in public. You feel embarrassed or feel those judgey eyes staring at you parenting your child(ren). It's not that you want to give in to them. It's because you don't know how to help them express themselves to you or others to reduce the tantrums.

The WI Office of Children's Mental Health has put out a very helpful "Early Childhood Feelings Thermometer" for parents or child care providers who are struggling with a child 5 and under with their big feelings and emotional outbursts when they are upset or angry. This is such a great tool to use at home, at school, and in a child care setting. I have linked the website to the charts below. It is offered in English, Spanish, and Hmong.

It gives you 5 facial emotions for your child to pick from and things you can teach them or have them do to lessen those feelings. Please share with friends and family who have small children under 5 and looking for a better way to deal with the big feelings and emotions. There are also additional informational help available as well.

The Early Childhood Feelings Thermometer is a visual aid for child care providers, early childhood educators, and families, to use with young children, ages 0 to 5, to help them begin naming emotions.  Research shows the act of identifying and naming feelings can reduce the intensity of th...

Many of you are wondering who we are and what we do.

Our business was established in 2015 and is located in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. We are a state certified personal care agency that hires Personal Care Workers to care for our clients in need of personal care services in their home who requires daily assistance in their life in the comforts of their own home.

We also hire someone ages 16+ whom the client would like to care for them such as friends or family members as well if there are no available PCWs or their preference is someone they know personally. How is that possible you may ask and how do they get compensated? Each potential PCW will undergo a Caregiver's Background Check (must pass BID) and once the client has been approved for services from their insurance, this will allow our agency to bill their insurance for compensation to pay for the personal care services and payment to the PCW.

Whether you as the potential client of our agency is a child, adult or an elderly, we can help your caregiver get paid to help you if you qualify for personal care services.

We can help your caregiver become your personal care worker to provide hands on assistance with activities of your daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and ambulation for the frail, the elderly, and the developmentally delayed.

If there are any reasons as to why you are ineligible to receive care with our agency, we can refer you to your local ADRC (Aging & Disability Resource Center) in your county for more assistance.

Our agency services personal care in the following counties: Brown, Outagamie, Winnebago, Fond Du Lac, Shawano, Oconto, Kewanee, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Dodge, and Dane.

We accept commercial insurance, private pay, and Medicaid and Medicaid HMOs.

Call us at (920) 965-9112 for a free nursing assessment and evaluation for qualifications to receive this personal care service for yourself or your loved one.

Hmong, Laotian, Thai, and Spanish interpreters are available upon request.

Anyone 18 and older who tests positive for COVID-19 can have a telehealth consultation with a health care clinician within 5-30 minutes. If eligible, a clinician will prescribe an oral antiviral pill that reduces the risk for severe symptoms, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. What is a Personal Care Agency?

A Personal Care Agency is a non-medical in-home care that does not involve medical skill and care is provided by a Personal Care Worker (no certification needed as training will be provided by agency).

A Personal Care Worker or a PCW helps the client with household chores and assistance with their activities of daily living (ADLs). A PCW provides hands on care to the client in bathing, grooming, dressing, checking of their skin conditions, feeding or meal prep/set up and clean up, toileting assistance such as incontinence and peri care, and helps with mobility transfers.

A Personal Care Worker may also be able to assist a client with medically oriented tasks (MOT) after being trained by the RN Supervisor to assist the client in setting up their medications to take, apply a topical cream either OTC or prescribed by their MD that is needed, putting compression socks on, monitor or take the client’s blood pressure/blood sugar and chart it down and notify the RN and the client’s MD if it is below normal range or above the normal range (MD order must be authorized in order for this MOT to be considered by the client’s insurance if it is medically necessary). These MOT assistances are optional by each agency to include as part of the personal care worker’s duty on top of the ADLs.

If you are looking for a personal care agency for a loved one, here at Midwest Home Health Care, LLC we offer complete guidance in getting the help your loved one needs if they are eligible for coverage. We do hire family members or friends of the family as our employee to be compensated for caring for your loved ones if that is the option you wish to take. We understand sometimes a loved one would be more comfortable with someone they know as well as the family knowing their loved one is in good hands.

We have a compassionate team ready to help you and your loved ones. We accept all insurance and private pay. Give us a call now at (920) 965-9112 or email us at Mwhcare@gmail.com to inquire on more information.
