Cold Therapy for Carpal Tunnel

🖐 Freeze Out the Ache! 🖐
Carpal tunnel making your hands feel like they’ve been typing since the Stone Age? Let’s cool them down and keep you moving.

Cold Therapy at Home:
1️⃣ Fill a bowl with cold water and ice cubes.
2️⃣ Add 1 drop doTERRA Lavender and 1 drop Peppermint essential oil (pre-mix with a teaspoon of carrier oil before adding).
3️⃣ Submerge your hand and wrist for 30–60 seconds, repeat 2–3 times.
4️⃣ After, gently stretch fingers and wrists to improve mobility.

Why It Works:
❄ Cold therapy reduces swelling and nerve compression.
🌿 Peppermint cools & soothes, Lavender calms inflammation and discomfort.

Neuromuscular Insight:
Carpal tunnel symptoms can be worsened by tension in the forearm flexors, extensors, and even shoulder stabilizers. Neuromuscular therapy focuses on releasing trigger points and fascial adhesions along the entire nerve pathway—from neck to hand—helping reduce pressure on the median nerve.
When combined with cold therapy at home, swelling decreases faster and mobility improves, keeping the wrist from “locking up” during daily activities.

Cold Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis

🌬 Chill Your Heels – Literally! 🌬

Plantar fasciitis can make every step feel like you’re walking on hot coals… so let’s cool it down!

Cold Therapy at Home:
1️⃣ Fill a plastic water bottle with water, freeze it overnight.
2️⃣ Sit comfortably and roll your foot over the frozen bottle for 5–10 minutes, twice a day.
3️⃣ For an extra boost, add 1 drop doTERRA Deep Blue® or peppermint essential oil to a carrier oil and massage into the arch after rolling.

Why It Works:
❄ Cold therapy reduces inflammation & numbs pain.
🌿 Peppermint and Deep Blue® help cool, soothe, and relax tight tissues.

Neuromuscular Insight:
Plantar fasciitis isn’t just about the foot—it’s often tied to overworked calf muscles, tight hamstrings, and fascial restriction through the posterior chain. Neuromuscular therapy targets these related muscle groups and trigger points, helping relieve tension at the source and restoring healthy foot mechanics.
Combining NM therapy sessions with daily cold therapy speeds recovery, reduces morning pain, and improves walking comfort.

Muscle Memory Isn’t in Your Muscles

💡 Did You Know?
What we call muscle memory doesn’t actually live in your muscles—it’s stored in your central nervous system, especially the motor cortex and cerebellum in your brain. Every time you repeat a movement—good or bad—your brain lays down a neural pathway. Think of it like a hiking trail: the more you walk it, the clearer and easier it becomes.

This is why:

You can type without thinking

An old injury can make you limp years later

You unconsciously slouch in the same way every day

These patterns get hardwired into the neuromuscular system, often leading to chronic compensation, pain, and dysfunction.
👐 So, What Does Neuromuscular Therapy Do?
Neuromuscular massage is not just deep pressure—it’s a form of nervous system retraining. It works by:

🔄 Breaking repetitive compensation loops
Targeting trigger points and movement patterns that reinforce bad habits.

🧠 Sending new, more efficient messages to the brain
Through slow, focused touch, we activate proprioceptors (muscle and joint sensors) that tell your brain where your body is in space.

💪 Teaching your body how to move with less tension
As muscles release, new motor patterns are created. We help your brain understand: “You don’t need to hold that tension anymore.”

It’s manual neurology—and your body responds beautifully when the brain is included in the process.

🗓️ Ready to Train Smarter, Not Harder?
Let us help retrain your brain, reset your muscles, and restore movement.
Book your neuromuscular session today and experience targeted therapy with lasting impact.
