I have been a midwife since 2009 serving at home and abroad, predominantly the Philippines. I have experience working both in free standing birth centers as well as the home birth setting. I have had the honor of welcoming more than 110 babies as primary midwife and part of the welcoming team for over 500 other babies. I presently reside in Green Bay and provide home birth services throughout Green Bay and the surrounding areas. After experiencing a beautiful water home birth for myself with the birth of my daughter, I desire to help families seeking home birth as their birth option become a reality. Having my husband be so involved in the birth process was significant to the monumental transition of caring for our newborn together. Benjamin Thomas, “Benny” or affectionately known and loved as “Chip” prior to coming earth-side, was born at home on Nov 3 at 6:24pm. Benny’s birth had it all...

From the newly-weds tenderness toward one another, to the perfect birth team including a long time friend and motherly-figure professional massage therapist Christina, to the pumping jock jams setting the stage for the pushing stage, to Jodi being an warrior woman hanging from the bedroom door seal via a Mexican rebozo birthing her 9lb son with a nuchal hand and all.
Once Benny was born into his daddy’s hands, we all took a huge breath of relief and basked in the beauty of the precious little spirit you brought to us Benny!

Benny’s birth was such an incredible one to witness and partake in. Tommy was so encouraging to his wife (even through his comical personality) as she worked ridiculously hard through her labor. He also did wonderful at catching baby despite how tired he was!
Jodi was so focused keeping her eyes closed most of her labor, really talking herself through each wave and focusing on relaxing and welcoming her baby to participate in the labor. We all stand in awe of you Mama!
Congratulations to first time parents Tommy and Jodi, your little “Chip” has brightened all our lives!

Oh baby.....

58 hours of labor and hard work paid off. Mama went into labor on a Friday evening and over the weekend she went for countless walks, took two trips to Target, climbed several staircases, bounced on a yoga ball, took a nap or two, tried every position change her crazy midwife asked her too and continued to press on. First time parents were absolutely determined to have their baby girl at home as long as things continued safely.
She did it! She did the hardest “most rewarding” work of her life and overcame every mental and physical temptation to quit! She dug deep, believed the truth, and trusted the natural birth process. Her husband encouraged, soothed, and held a calm demeanor for his wife to powerfully birth their babe.
Nora Marie was welcomed into the loving hands of her daddy on Monday, November 18th at 4:35am in their planned home water birth.
Nora, you are absolutely perfect ❤️ and sooo loved! 🥰

Truly the Lord has showed himself to your family through His blessing of Miss Nora! Congratulations Tymberlyn and Adam!

In early November, A tiny baby girl was born quickly in a hands-off breech water birth. It was also my first lotus birth (keeping placenta intact until it naturally falls off- placenta it is cleaned, salted and decorated with fragrant herbs and wrapped close to baby for a gentle release of the placenta)
It is so beautiful to see variations of normal physiological birth occur when mama and baby work as a team and account for each others needs. This little one literally wiggled herself right out! Beautiful miracle you are little one❤️ Congratulations to this sweet family!

Meet Verity Joy Atkinson ❤️ Born 10/14/19

This family spent alot of thoughtful time deciding what their special little “Birdie’s” name should be! A name that gives her purpose and proclaims blessings over her!

Verity means truth. May she always find and be whatsoever is true.
Philippians 4:8

Verity was born on the first day of The Feast of Tabernacles(Sukkot). This is a biblical feast to remember the journey, trials, and faithfulness of God when the Israelites were brought out of Egypt. Also known as the "season of joy". A celebration of joy and the coming King. After a season of trial for their family, a sweet baby girl ushered in a season of joy, and they praise God their Father for His perfect and sweet timing!
Your mama even stated in retrospect that You have brought so much truth to her life even while in the womb.... God has been doing a great work of healing and beckoning to the True One full of eternal Joy through your precious life miss Verity Joy!

Verity, your birth held so much significant and detailed beauty to it. From you waiting patiently for your midwife to arrive from another birth to being born in a whirlpool that was pretty whirly even to the moment of your coming 😉, to your mama calmly birthing you Posterior and En Caul- ouch- and then being 9lbs 8oz at that.
I couldn’t be more proud of your mama for all the hard work she put into fighting the internal spiritual battle of fears around carrying you to term. After deep loss and incredible heartache, you have been a healing salve to our hearts and challenged your mama and daddy to step into deeper trust and intimacy with their God knowing He is the Perfecter of their faith in the greatest of trials and their eternal Hope releasing good good gifts in season! You are truly a Joy 😍

Please help me celebrate and welcome little Elizabeth Kay. She arrived the morning of 10/14/19 to first time parents Sarah and Nick.
Liz, you have stolen all our hearts from the first moments we laid eyes on you! You have the sweetest temperament and biggest beautiful eyes!
Your mama worked incredibly hard for you to come on the terms we thought best but once we slowed down abit we found out you had other plans, plans that revealed what was the most necessary birth plan for you to be born safely. Thank you sweet one for showing us the way when we thought we knew best and helping your powerhouse of a mama calmly cope, adjust, and recover so quickly from the change in birth events. Your mama didn’t fail by any means (labored like a superhero) because home birth was not the final birth result but rather she had to make harder decisions then most ever have to face. Your mama and daddy were incredibly brave and calm in the midst of very hard decisions.
You are safe little Liz and so so LOVED! ❤️❤️❤️
