My name is Jessica Catherine. I have been a Massage Therapist since 2003. I have worked for all different kinds of businesses, and followed different theories over the years. The most important thing I have learned is that the body carries important wisdom and our ability to tune into this is not as easy as we speak of. There needs to be a container of safety so that we can relax and be open to what the messages our body wants us to hear and know. I understand the complexity of healing and staying connected to our human experiences. What I provide is space for whatever your healing looks like through bodywork, Energywork, Breathwork, and Movement. I am forever a student of healing, reclaimation of self, and human interaction and relating. I believe our ability to be in the flow of life or not is both important and not to be controlled, judged, or criticized. I believe we carry trauma, stress, outdated belief systems and unresolved emotion in our bodies as tension, pain, illness and discomfort. What and how we feel, the sensations or lack of are all very real and need validation before we can tend to our inner self and create self regulation of the nervous system. From this place we begin to gain a sense of connection and clarity, allowing us to make different choices or breaking through patterns or habits that do not really serve our highest most sovereign self.
My practice is located inside of a nursing home, I am also a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist. I love getting to assist with the two biggest polarities in the circle of life. Both transitions can be beautiful, complicated, and reflective of the changing of seasons.
