Join us at the ADRC for a joyful afternoon filled with music, community, and holiday cheer! 🌟

This event is designed to be welcoming and enjoyable for individuals living with dementia, their caregivers, and all community members. Let’s come together to sing our favorite holiday classics in a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

🎤 Songbooks will be available to help you follow along!
🔇 Quiet rooms will be available for those who may need a break during the event.

Look at the wonderful programs available for veterans

May is Older Americans Month, and this year's theme is "Powered by Connection." Meaningful connections have a profound impact on the health and well-being of older adults. Join us and get connected!

Join us for our Veterans Program at the Neville Public Museum on Friday, June 14. Kevin Hermening, Marine Veteran, will speak on his time as a POW in Iran. This is an opportunity for veterans to gather, learn something new, and participate in an optional meal. We hope to see you there! Someone once said if you take care of someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they get the diagnosis, when they go through different stages, when they need treatment and when they pass away. This is called "ambigua loss".
I don't wish dementia on anyone. As the brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They could end up lying in bed, not moving and not eating or drinking.
There will be people who will scroll past this post because Dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has battled or is still battling dementia.
To raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like my friends to put this on their page today.
