Grief is a silent companion.
Others move on, assuming time has erased the
ache. But you and I know better. Grief doesn't follow
a timeline. It lingers in the quiet moments, in the
spaces where love once lived.
It's not just about losing them-it's about losing
every hug, every shared laugh, every unspoken word.
It's about navigating a world that feels forever
altered while others expect you to be "okay.
How do you explain that some nights still end in
tears? That some days feel unbearably empty? That
no matter how much time passes, a part of you will
always wait for them to walk back through the
door?
The truth is, you don't. Because only those who
have carried this kind of sorrow understand the
weight of it.
But here's what I hold onto: Grief exists because
love existed. And if love never truly dies, then maybe,
just maybe, nothing is ever really gone.
For now, I walk forward-not moving on, but
carrying them with me, in every memory, in every
whispered thought, in every piece of my heart that
still beats for them. -author unknown
