We added another leaf to our "FOREVER TREE." This celebration was particularly special because it turns out that this woman was known by Greg. He grew up with her family and was very familiar with them. Jill was vibrant and full of love. She would often add smiley faces to her notes, which is why there were balloons… and she had a fondness for the color red. I was truly amazed by the stunning colors and decorations that her daughter and family created. One thing that struck me as especially meaningful was that Jill wrote letters to her family, and her daughter read a few of them. What a heartfelt gift from Jill to her loved ones. A big thank you to the entire family for letting us host such a beautiful celebration. It was a true honor…

A little about us 💖

Following the loss of her daughter, Melissa Maloney founded A Gathering For You , a business born from a mother's grief that's now working to disrupt a tradition-bound industry.

After struggling to find a space that felt right for their daughter's celebration of life, Melissa and her husband Greg created a venue designed specifically for memorials. Unlike traditional funeral homes, the space is warm and inviting, complete with customizable lighting, comfortable seating and a kitchen for families to bring their own food.

"I just wanted somewhere people could go and celebrate their loved one at a nice venue and not cost $10,000 to do it," Maloney says.

Today we added another STAR to our “FOREVER TREE”. David was a proud Coast Guard veteran who had a passion for music and played in a band. His talent with woodworking shone through in the beautiful handmade furniture he crafted for his family. He truly was the “world’s greatest grandpa and dad,” and his family will always hold him close to their hearts. The fresh-picked flowers from his yard and his playful teddy bear wearing underwear perfectly captured his kind and fun-loving spirit. It was a real honor to host his celebration of life, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire family for their warmth and kindness.

We added a STAR to our “Forever Tree”. This man was exceptional. He had a deep love for his family and his country, and he was a proud veteran. John deeply loved his wife and kids… John had a passion for the packers and was able to fulfill a dream of his by attending the draft. He will be greatly missed and was cherished and respected by countless people. One thing I truly admired about this family is their kindness and love. I have honestly never experienced so many hugs, and I cherished every moment of it. Thank you for allowing me to host this beautiful celebration, it was an honor.

Today we added another leaf to our FOREVER TREE. I cried today at this Celebration of Life. My heart broke for the family and for Richard because he endured a lot in his life. He was a remarkable man and loved his family. This was evident by a sheet of paper he kept with everyone’s birthdays on it to ensure he knew them all. He will deeply be missed by his friends and family. Thank you to the wonderful family for allowing me the honor of hosting his Celebration of Life.

We added another leaf to our FOREVER TREE. I can honestly say that I have never had the pleasure of meeting a family as remarkable as this one. Kindness is a core value, and Sajida radiated this attribute. Her presence was a ray of sunshine in the lives of many, which was evident. Many people came to celebrate and express their love for her kind and helpful nature. She will be deeply missed. The family served her favorite food, which smelled AMAZING! The food received glowing reviews, and we felt compelled to try it. After the celebration, we visited Taste of India to sample the cuisine, and I must say it was AMAZING! I enjoyed the entire day immensely. Thank you to the family for allowing us the great honor of hosting this celebration. I am grateful.

Yesterday we added another leaf to our FOREVER TREE… It was evident Henry was a strong pillar amongst his family and friends. Others that truly knew him appreciated all the role modeling and sound advice he would provide. Countless fishing trips/experiences, times traveled with family, and intimate moments shared with his loved ones are some of the most cherished memories expressed. Henry will be remembered as a special person who positively impacted others. It was a true honor to have been able to host this Celebration of Life.

Today we added another leaf to our FOREVER TREE. This woman was special, she loved her family. It was really cool to see all the family trees she made through wood burning. She was talented in this. She also had a strong interest in crafts and it was evident that she loved butterflies 🦋 I feel so honored to have been able to be a part of this beautiful day and celebration. Beautiful celebration for a beautiful woman. 💕
