"An immigrant from Italy, she adopted this country as her own. While often facing discrimination and seemingly impossible odds, she never succumbed to hopelessness. With relentless faith, she accompanied her fellow immigrants and others living on the margins of society with a great missionary zeal."

During National Migration Week, consider taking a concrete step to show solidarity with migrants and refugees by signing "The Cabrini Pledge," which you can learn more about here: https://www.usccb.org/cabrinipledge

September 22-28 is National Migration Week, which the Catholic Church in the United States has celebrated for 45 years. This year's theme is "Migrants, missionaries of hope."

Through our immigration legal services and refugee integration services, we are seeking to "welcome the stranger" and bring hope to those in our community. Learn how you can get involved by volunteering with us in this endeavor here: https://catholiccharitiesgb.org/our-services/refugee-resettlement-services/

"By framing the issue of trafficking in the context of the seventh commandment, we can see that the Catechism points us to the fact that human trafficking steals something from the human being."

Ben McCullough discusses the issue of human trafficking and why us Catholics need to fight against it in the Sharing the Truth in Love column.

In the latest episode of the Sharing the Truth in Love podcast, Shelby Mitchell from Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin joins Fr. John Girotti and Lucas Holt to talk about how we can be more aware and prevent trafficking.
