❤ Members of the Willow Tree Advisory Board and Lifesaver Committee are our volunteers of the week! ❤
In Brown County, more than 5,000 suspected incidents of child abuse are reported each year, highlighting a critical need for child-focused interventions and support. To address this, the Willow Tree Child Advocacy Center (a program of Family Services) was established in 2011 to provide a safe environment where children can share their experiences and begin the healing process. Willow Tree's Advisory Board, made up of dedicated ambassadors, plays a vital role in providing strategic direction. In addition, the board's Life Saver Committee focuses on fundraising and ensuring the program's long-term sustainability.
Over the past 14 years, these individuals have regularly volunteered to support Willow Tree in many ways, including attending planning meetings, organizing events, and helping shape key decisions. By leading committees, mentoring new volunteers, and setting a positive example, they make everyone feel welcome and inspired to assist with the organization's mission. The Willow Tree Advisory Board and the Life Saver Committee make a real difference by improving the lives of young people and their families. Because of their leadership, many more people in our community understand the work Willow Tree does and want to help. Through their dedication and teamwork, they have not only raised impressive funds but have also built a lasting sense of hope and unity around a cause that truly matters. Thank you to the members of this board and committee for all you do to stand up for vulnerable children!
