As the former owner of Baeten Counseling & Consultation Team, I'm pained to learn that Sherman Counseling, now owned by Optum of Colorado has been sending inaccurate bills to clients using a collection agency when their billing system was faulty at best. Two former clients, who never received an invoice or bill during their services (as they shouldn't have being on Medicare and having no co- pays) are now stressed about their credit being impacted through no fault of their own. This is after nearly 8 months following the end of their services.
If you are a former client, please review all mailings carefully and contact the collection agency with inaccuracies. Feel free to contact me through private message if you need additional assistance on how to proceed. The goal of our services was NEVER to cause undo stress or inaccurate financial burden. Our former philosophy of client care is not consistent with this. One of the many reasons we no longer exist.
