Discover Polish Heritage at this Months Presentation
As part of the Polish Party Local Heritage Meal, we’re excited to have a presentation at 11:30 am.
Poland’s story is shaped by royal history, historic battles, and the resilience of its people, along with beautiful forests, rivers, and lakes. Polish immigrants began arriving in Wisconsin in the mid-1850s, seeking new opportunities, and today, over 462,000 Wisconsinites claim Polish ancestry—one of the largest Polish populations in the U.S.
Polish culture is also celebrated through food: hearty, flavorful dishes often featuring pork, cabbage, potatoes, mushrooms, and soups, enjoyed with family and friends. Across Wisconsin, traditions are kept alive through the Polish Heritage Alliance, the Polish Heritage Society, and festivals in communities like Milwaukee and Pulaski.
Join us for this engaging presentation April 16 at 11:30 am at the ADRC and learn more about the history, culture, and community of Polish Wisconsin.
