Community Speech Services We are a private practice located in Green, Ohio. We also contract with local hospitals, schools, and group homes.

We are a private practice in Green, Ohio that provides speech/language services to children and adults throughout the community. We have been serving the Akron/Canton area for over 18 years providing comprehensive evaluations and therapy services in our office, schools, workplaces, and various contract sites. Our professional staff are all certified by the American Speech Language & Hearing Associ

ation (ASHA), possess a Masters Degree, and are licensed by the State of Ohio. As speech and language pathologists, we are trained to evaluate and treat children and adults having a variety of disorders. We have the diverse educational and experiential background necessary to treat any type or severity of communication disorder including apraxia, articulation/phonological disorders, autism, receptive/expressive language delays, dysfluency (stuttering), augmentative communication, voice disorders, aphasia, and dysphagia (swallowing disorders). Our reputation is important to us and we show personal concern and care for every patient. Our office prides itself in an "open door" policy where communication between the patient and/or the patient's family is of the highest priority. Questions, and making sure you go away with answers, are an integral part of our business. Thank you for considering our practice for your speech/language care. Happy May everyone! Did you know May is one of our favorite months of the year? Because... May is National Speech Language Hearing Month!

This month, we invite you to read over our newsletter where we answer some common questions (and dispel some myths!) about speech language therapy.

There are many different types of disorders SLPs can assess, diagnose, and treat! SLPs can also support individuals throughout the lifespan. Read on for more fun facts and information!

Happy April everyone! This month's newsletter is dedicated to our upcoming summer groups. We have so many fun, engaging, and educational activities planned already!

Summer group therapy has many benefits including:
1. Practicing skills in "real world" experiences, reducing reliance on cueing from caregivers and improving autonomy and independence
2. Engaging in play and conversation with peers in a safe, controlled environment led by communication experts
3. Maintaining and carrying over of previously acquired skills from one school year to the next
4. Creating novel experiences which supports focus, active learning, and overall engagement, breaking up routine and "auto-pilot" learning

And so much more!

The summer groups are available for both current and new clients! If you are unsure which group would be the best fit for your child, please talk with your child's speech language pathologist or call our office and we can best match your child's skills and needs.
