One of the benefits of leading a family-owned business is having the relevant leadership and knowledge readily accessible to help guide you. To our parents, siblings, in-laws, cousins, whether you know it or not, our conversations have helped form our practice throughout the years. This week our father/father-in-law gifted us the book “The 5 Graces of Life and Leadership” written by Gary Burnison. We named the practice Grace Family Medicine because of our faith-beliefs and what the gift of Grace has meant to us. But this book does a great job of identifying traits that align with us as individuals and our mission forming an acronym which composes the word GRACE.

Today was the last day of our summer internship partnership with Path to College . Our student Ketura was incredible. She was able to have a hands on shadowing experience with our providers that gave her insight into the practice of medicine, patient-provider relationship, documentation, diagnosing and much more.

Ketura is a high-achieving honors student entering her senior year at Lake Worth High. It was a pleasure having her join our practice this summer and wish her and the rest of the historic 100th graduating class of Lake Worth High a fun, safe and successful school year.

Path to college is a mentoring and youth development program for motivated students on their path to college. We believe in their core value that access to higher education leads to a fuller and richer life, ultimately leading to broader societal advancement.
