For the past 2 years I have been researching the connection between these two fields. What I know to be true is that the challenges of ADHD include attention, motivation and interest. The natural remedy to these challenges is play. Thus in 2013 I founded PlayDHD, an online educational resource for adults with ADHD. When you visit our site at http://playdhd.com you can engage in community discussions, get tips to make life more playful, and get support to manage symptoms of Adult ADHD. There is also information from other resources including videos, products, and articles about play and ADHD. Keep yourself informed and entertained! In addition to PlayDHD, I currently maintain a private practice providing psychological testing and coaching services. My favorites clients are individuals with ADHD; in particular entrepreneurs, executives, and young adults. Specialties: Clinical Psychology, ADHD coaching, program development, psychological assessment, , ADHD and other learning differences.........

Our Story

My passion is play. My work is with people who have ADHD. What better marriage than play and ADHD? I have been researching the connection between these two fields. What I know to be true is that the challenges of ADHD include attention, motivation and interest. The natural remedy to these challenges is play.

Think of a time when you were playing. This could be playing with your kids, playing a game, or something else you find “fun” (video games, socializing or writing?). How would you describe your attention, focus and motivation in that time? If you were playing, I bet no one would say you had a problem with attention! The company PlayDHD was formed in 2011 and the book of the same name hit the shelves in 2016 (on April Fool’s day!). (for purchase here: https://amzn.to/2UEtkwW) In addition to public speaking on the topic of ADHD and play, I currently maintain a private practice providing psychological testing and coaching services. My favorites clients are individuals with ADHD; in particular entrepreneurs, executives, and young adults. I also consult with companies around employee management and motivation. How companies, large and small, engage, train and motivate staff has to be in sync with the changing psychology of our larger society. Specialties: Clinical Psychology, ADHD coaching, program development, psychological assessment, , ADHD and other learning differences.........
