We would like to congratulate our Star of The Week, Mary Little! 🌟

After a vehicle accident, Mary came to The Waters of Greencastle to regain her strength through therapy. Having visited friends here before, she was already familiar with our caring team.

Mary shared that the rehab/therapy team made her stay positive and motivated as she worked toward her goal of returning home—and she was thrilled to achieve it! She also enjoyed our music programs and bingo activities during her time with us.

When asked if she’d recommend us, Mary said she absolutely would!

School Spirit Week at The Waters of Greencastle! 🎒📚🎉

Last week, we celebrated all things school pride — and what a fun-filled week it was! Residents and staff showed off their school colors all week long while enjoying themed activities that brought back sweet school-day memories!

Monday – Field Day 🏃‍♂️
Relay races and friendly competition to kick things off!

Tuesday – Picture Day 📸
We shared our favorite school photos and reminisced about those days. (Stay tuned for those pictures!)

Wednesday – Cafeteria Food Day 🍕
Who could forget that classic school pizza?

Thursday – Report Card Day ✏️
Elara Caring helped us “wrap up the grading period” with a smile.

Friday – Pep Rally 🎉
Gentiva joined us for an end-of-the-week celebration full of cheer!

August is Back-to-School Month, and The Waters of Greencastle proudly supported Putnam County Night Out by collecting school supplies for local families. 🎒✏️📚

Over 275 backpacks were handed out in just one hour!

We’re honored to be part of a community that comes together to support students and families as they prepare for another successful school year. ❤️

We kept the momentum going and celebrated Back-to-School Week all week long at the facility— stay tuned for pictures! 📸

We would like to congratulate our Star of The Week, Marsha Gould 🌟

Marsha came to The Waters of Greencastle for short-term rehab therapy after living independently with her husband. Entering a nursing home was a new challenge, but Marsha was determined to complete her therapies and return home in under two weeks!

Thanks to the dedication of Kirby and Paula in therapy, Marsha achieved her goals. She shared how much she appreciated staying local, which allowed her husband to visit daily, and found the staff to be caring and helpful.

Marsha said that if she ever needs therapy services again, short term care, or long term care, she would happily return to The Waters of Greencastle. ❤️

Recently, our residents enjoyed a peaceful and engaging Soundscape program led by the wonderful Carla from Heart to Heart Hospice.

Her hands-on approach and calming presence created a truly meaningful experience for everyone involved. We’re so grateful for her time, compassion, and the joy she brings to our facility. 💙

🚗🍔 Drive-Thru Day at The Waters of Greencastle! 🍔🚗

To celebrate , our amazing Activity Department hit the road and cruised through the local county fair to pick up the famous Legion burgers — and they did not disappoint! 😋

Everyone enjoyed the delicious burgers, and a big shoutout to Chris in Dietary for going the extra mile and pureeing several burgers to ensure all our residents could enjoy them. 💙

We sleighed Christmas in July at The Waters of Greencastle! 🎅☀️

We set up a beautiful Christmas tree, played reindeer ring toss, and baked and decorated delicious holiday cookies! 🎄🦌🍪

To top it all off, Lana Nascimbene from Affinity Hospice treated our residents and staff to festive ice cream sundaes — the perfect sweet touch to our celebration! 🍨

The residents and staff had a holly, jolly time — and we can’t wait to do it all again next year! ❤️

Our crafty Resident Council President, Jackie, wanted to enter some Adult Open Class projects at our local Putnam County Fairgrounds, Indiana!

We dropped them off to be judged — and she earned ribbons on all three! 🏅🏅🏅

We’re so proud of her talent and creativity! 👏
