Studies suggest that there is no difference between still water and carbonated water without additives, so although seltzer water is more acidic, it shouldn’t cause too much damage to your teeth if enjoyed in moderation. Keep your mouth healthy while drinking by ensuring you stay hydrated, swish water around your mouth, drink through a straw, and use a fluoride mouthwash after drinking acidic or sugary beverages. Call us at (812) 537-1390 for more tips and tricks to take care of your teeth!

Your mouth is home to millions of different bacteria and while brushing and flossing your teeth is a great way to keep your mouth clean, it doesn’t remove the bacteria from your tongue. This bacterium produces sulfur compounds that lead to bad breath and other health issues. Use a tongue scraper or a soft-bristled toothbrush to brush your tongue. After cleaning, be sure to rinse with mouthwash and thoroughly rinse your toothbrush with water. You’ll know your tongue is fresh and clean when all the discolored debris disappears and you’re left with a clean pink tongue! Contact us at (812) 537-1390 to schedule your bi-annual appointment!
