Trinity Heart and Vascular Group and Nolan Hensley, PA-C are pleased to establish an additional service line within the practice: Direct Pay Primary Care (DPPC)

We like to call our version of DPPC, “Classic”—and here is why. Like other DPPC providers (whom we enthusiastically support), patients pay directly for services without utilization of a third-party payer (no insurance contracts). In our model, patients do not pay a monthly or yearly membership fee. They simply pay for the services provided at the time they are rendered. This "pay as you need it" approach is immensely helpful to patients who are self-insured, cannot afford a monthly/yearly subscription and/or anticipate infrequent visits for care. Our approach is "Classic" because it represents a return to historic outpatient medical care payment models.

While we do not submit claims to Medicare or commercial insurance, we heartily welcome patients who have these plans. Medicare (Part B) cannot be billed or a claim submitted by either the practice or patient for office-based services. This is because our providers have “opted out” of Medicare (https://trinityheartandvasculargroup.com/medicare-opt-out-process-explained/). However, Medicare will pay for covered services ordered by our medical providers. Commercial insurers, on the other hand, may provide some reimbursement for office visits, depending on the type of plan. In the age of high-deductible plans, this model is much more affordable for insured patients than most people think!
