Maxim team member Kelly Figueroa is gearing up for another year at the ALS Network's Walk and Roll in Los Angeles 💙

"Over the years, I've had the privilege of meeting with ALS patients and families, discussing in home nursing support and funding options. Having witnessed firsthand how much ALS impacts both patients and their loved ones, I know the sensitivity of this disease and remain committed to ensuring we always provide the very best care and support possible.

In the U.S., more than 30,000 people are currently living with ALS, with approximately 5,000 new cases diagnosed annually. Here in Los Angeles County, I work closely with care managers who cover countless patients and ALS clinics. If there's one thing I can say, it's that they are truly amazing! I'm always grateful when they involve me and trust Maxim with the care of their patients."

Every year, we encourage our employees to get out into their communities and volunteer with local 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in support of our mission to enhance the quality of life within our communities.

"Community First Village offers permanent housing and a supportive environment for men and women transitioning out of homelessness. Today, we had the joy of assisting residents with planting and preparing a new lot to further their mission. It was an incredibly rewarding experience, and we're grateful to be part of an organization that champions community service."

From Maxim team member Hailey Anderson: "Had the honor of attending the ALS United Rocky Mountain walk this past Sunday morning in Denver! It was so great to see such a huge turn out of supporters in our community. With 85 teams, over $142,000 was raised for this amazing cause!"

Happy Monday!

It is time to announce some very exciting news!

Please join us in congratulating, Kelly Bolden, RN, on her much deserved promotion to Clinical Manager!

Kelly joined Maxim as a field nurse (a Novice Nurse in fact) in November of 2018. Her talent as a nurse in the field led to her promotion to Clinical Supervisor in March of 2023. During her two years as a Clinical Supervisor, Kelly’s impact continued. To quote an individual in the office “every patient loves her”. A patient’s family member said Kelly “is phenomenal with their child” and she “represents Maxim very well”. Kelly has a nurturing ability about her and she consistently goes above and beyond. She integrates herself among the three job families in the office and is a go to resource for all.

Kelly has already hit the ground running and we couldn't be more excited to watch her in this new role!

Happy Client Coordinator (CC) Day to Zoe and Erika!

Today we recognize these two for the passion they bring every single day to find the perfect placement for our nurses and maximize the quality care we are able to deliver to our patients.

The CC role is so much more than building and managing schedules. Zoe and Erika manage nearly 5,000 patient care hours each and every week! They develop incredible relationships with our caregivers, patients, and their families allowing them to navigate and resolve issues seamlessly and truly enhance the delivery of homecare services.

We are so grateful for you both and can't wait to see the continued impact you will make serving patients in our community!

Summer is flying by and we are gearing up for back to school!

Maxim has been making a difference in the lives of patients in the school setting for years. Our goal is to ensure students with complex medical needs have their needs met throughout the day so they can have the best possible educational experience. This care assists in helping our local school systems manage day to day student health and wellness. It also allows parents the peace of mind to know their child is getting the care and attention they need to thrive in school.

We are currently accepting new pediatric patient referrals for students who need 1 on 1 care in the school setting in the following counties:

Greene
Hamblen
Hawkins
Cocke
Hancock
Grainger

Hoping everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th of July!

For our July Caregiver Appreciation Drawing we will be putting an emphasis on providing vital summer coverage for our patients and their families.

Every active employee who works a shift in the month of July will receive an entry into a drawing for a grilling themed basket. We will announce the winner on this page on 7/31 at around 3 pm.

If you are interested in picking up a shift this month, please check out our weekly open shift email or reach out to the office to speak to a client coordinator.

In observance of the holiday our office will close at 3:00 pm today, 7/3, and be closed on Friday, 7/4. We will resume operations on Monday, 7/7 at 8:00 am.

Congrats to our Caregiver of the Month for May 2025 Lisa, RN. Lisa has been a nurse with Maxim since August 2022 and has worked with many of our complex pediatric and adult patients. At her current case, Lisa has been such a blessing. After losing their incredible nurse of many years, Lisa stepped in to fill a very big void. Lisa has truly been a rock for this patient and his family. She takes the lead, trains others in the home, and has such a tremendous work ethic. She also fills in with other patients when available to ensure vital coverage is delivered.

Lisa, we are so blessed to have you here as a part of this team. Grateful for you today and everyday!

Congratulations to Christina, LPN for being named our Caregiver of the Month for April 2025!

Tina started working with Maxim back in 2009. She works full-time with Dagan and helps picks up with several other patients across Greene County. Tina is a master of her craft. She seeks out the opportunity to work with some of our most critical patients and has been a mentor to so many nurses who have wanted to advance their skillset. In addition to the quality care she provides, Tina’s clinical documentation is incredibly detailed and paints a very clear picture as to why having nurses in the home is so vital for patients and families. No one is a fiercer advocate for her patients and the nurses in her home, than Tina. In addition to being an incredible nurse, Tina is just all-around an amazing human being. The difference she has made in the lives of her patients, and everyone she comes in contact with, is nothing short of remarkable.

Tina, thank you for everything that you do and for choosing a life of service to others. You are a blessing to so many families in our community!

This year we were able to host a graduation ceremony for a few of our pediatric patients.

Congratulations to Jaxon on graduating from 8th grade! We can’t wait to see what the future holds as he starts his high school journey.

Also, a special shout out to Jaxon’s brother, Eastyn, who received a medal of achievement for making major academic strides this year.

We are so proud of both of these young men and all of our graduates who were unable to attend due to some unexpected weather.

It is such an honor to be able to celebrate these milestones with our patients and their families.

Wishing all of our little patients a safe and relaxing summer break!

For our June Caregiver Appreciation Drawing we will be putting an emphasis on providing weekend coverage for our patients and their families. This vital coverage allows families to take these patients to experience new and exciting things, and truly have their best quality of life surrounded by family! It also allows for the primary caregivers to rest so they can provide the best care outside of their approved nursing hours.

For every additional weekend shift a caregiver picks up, outside of their normal schedule, they will receive an entry into the drawing that will be held on 6/27 @ 3 pm. No limit on entries!

A huge thank you to our nurses and caregivers in the field. You make a difference in the lives of your patients every single day!
