What is Best Buds?
Best Buds is a ball league for only special needs kids. This is for all disabilities. It doesn't matter what their need is, we will accommodate them so that they can play the game.
We want to teach our kids inclusion. We know most of the special needs kids will need assistance in playing the game. We intend on letting our softball and baseball players that want to help, come out to the Best Buds games and help the special needs kids. Whether it be by them standing on bases with them and telling them when to get the ball, help guide them in hitting off of a tee, or pushing them in a wheel chair around the bases. We will make it to where kids of all abilities feel like they are MVP's!
Best Buds players will play games every other week and will not have practices. We don't want them to be out on the field as much as our softball and baseball players because we don't want ones with autism or down syndrome etc., to get overstimulated. Kids from ANY city or school can play with us.
