October 12 was Clergy Appreciation Day... the whole month of October is set aside to show appreciation to all pastors, clergy, and chaplains! Our team at Amedisys Hospice in Greeneville is very thankful for our chaplain Thomas McRee! Thomas is out with our patients everyday praying for them, reading scripture and just being present as an emotional support for them and their families... he is also a huge support to his teammates, always praying for us and making sure he brings a smile to each person he talks to! Thank you, Thomas, for everything you do 💚

Leftover flowers are making a lasting impact!

When our volunteer Ruth Lohmann (also a designer at Kati Mac Floral Designs) saw an opportunity to brighten the days of our hospice patients and families, she and the team at Kati Mac brought the idea to life. Using flowers left over from weddings, their team creates beautiful arrangements for Willow Tree Hospice, an Amedisys company in Kennett Square, PA.

From the hands that design to the lives touched by each bouquet, every person involved is part of something beautiful. Thank you to the entire Kati Mac team for helping us serve with heart.

One Year Later: Honoring Courage and Community

Today marks one year since Hurricane Helene made landfall and forever changed our community. As we reflect on the challenges we faced, we also remember the incredible strength, resilience, and unity that emerged in the aftermath.
We especially want to extend our deepest gratitude to the first responders—the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, medical teams, utility workers, and volunteers—who stood on the front lines when we needed them most. Your bravery, tireless dedication, and compassion helped save lives, restore hope, and rebuild what was lost.
To every individual who offered a helping hand, opened their home, or simply showed kindness in a time of crisis—thank you. You reminded us that even in the darkest moments, light shines through in the form of community.
Let us continue to honor their service not just today, but every day, by supporting one another, and never forgetting the power of unity.
Amedisys Hospice of Greeneville is proud to be a part of this amazing community!
