The Greeneville Caris team recently had the honor of fulfilling a very special wish for our patient, Michael.
Michael has a lifelong passion for motorcycles, and our team wanted to ensure that part of his story was celebrated in a meaningful way. With the help of Administrator Jessica Powell, her friend Logan Anderson, and a group of generous riders, we organized a motorcycle drive-through and meet-up just for Michael. From admission, our staff - Amie Rice, RN; Diana Booher, SW; and Christina Conrad, CNA, along with others, learned about his love for riding.
Per Michael’s request, the Greeneville team proudly wore blue jeans and made sure some of his favorite treats were waiting for him. The highlight of the day came when Michael got the chance to climb on a motorcycle and ride alongside one of the bikers—a moment that brought tears, smiles, and unforgettable joy. His daughter shared that he called her every hour that day, excitedly awaiting the event. Hospice is about so much more than care at the end of life—it’s about honoring each person’s journey, passions, and individuality.
At Caris, we meet our patients where they are and celebrate what matters most to them. A heartfelt thank you to Michael’s daughter Christy, his son Danny, and the incredible riders who made this day possible. Michael, his family, and our Caris team will forever cherish this memory.
