So many people are surprised when I explain that Botox isn’t just about “erasing” wrinkles; how and when you do it makes a huge difference.
✨ Here are 3 mistakes I see all the time:
1️⃣ Waiting until lines are already etched in
Botox stops the muscle movement that creates wrinkles, but once a crease has been there for years it can only soften it, not fully erase it. Starting before lines get deep keeps your skin looking smoother long-term.
2️⃣ Letting it completely wear off before retreating
When you wait until everything is fully moving again, those muscles regain strength and the lines you worked to smooth can come right back. Staying on a steady schedule keeps results softer and helps prevent the “start over” effect every time.
3️⃣ Touching up too soon
Adding more Botox before your last treatment has worn off can increase the chance of your body building antibodies, which can make Botox less effective over time. Patience between treatments really matters.
👉 The sweet spot: Start before lines are deeply set, maintain on a regular schedule, and avoid over-treating. That’s how Botox stays natural, effective, and long-lasting.
