Garlic! π§
Garlic is another amazing infection fighter. Research has shown that it is more powerful than the leading antibiotics that you can get from the pharmaceutical companies. Studies show that garlic has more versatile properties than the leading brand of penicillin. This basically means that germs can't figure out how to outsmart the garlic. π Did you know that garlic was used during World War I and World War II to wart off gangrene infections in soldiers wounds? It's powerful stuff!!!
An elderly gentleman that I used to know would crush and mix raw organic garlic with raw honey and then use it as a paste for his legs. He was diabetic and any scrapes or cuts on his legs could mean the loss of his leg. The garlic and honey paste always kept infection away and his legs healed nicely every time. I use garlic both in the ear and through consumption.
I use it in combination with my tinctures as an infection fighter. One way I like to consume it is by putting it in bone broth and drinking it up. But I am careful not to get my bone broth too hot, because that can kill the properties out of the fresh raw garlic. I also put fresh raw garlic in an avocado. I just scrape the avocado out, put a clove of garlic with it (finely chopped) and salt, then mush it together. This takes the burn away and makes it more tolerable.
Being a great antibiotic, it also helps to fight ear infections. I infuse it into an oil and then I put that oil into their ears to clear up ear infections. I used this method for my youngest son who is now 16. His father had to have tubes put in his ears, but Wyatt did not.
To make the oil infusion, you'll need olive oil and fresh garlic cloves. You crush one garlic clove with a spoon or just chop it up with a knife and set it in a small shallow bowl, then poor about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over it. Let it set a few hours (so the garlic can infuse into the oil), then strain the garlic out and throw it away, or use it for dinner.
You can make a better infusion by putting it in the olive oil and heating it in the Crock-Pot for a few days, but if you're in a pinch and you need a quick fix, this way works just as well. In the picture below is another testimony of someone I have helped over the years through their cold and flu season. I hope your cold and flu season goes well and that all of these remedies are helpful to you. If you have any questions just message. π
