Broadscope Disability Services advances opportunities for people with disabilities

Our focus is to serve people with a broad scope of abilities and their families by fostering inclusion and empowering freedom of choice. Our vision is a world where people with disabilities and their families have the same opportunities as everyone else.

November is Family Caregiver Month! This year's theme is Plug-In To Care, which has a focus on connecting caregivers to resources, networks, and tools.

Broadscope recognizes the strength and resilience that it takes to be a caregiver in a world where navigating support is difficult. One Broadscope program that works to take some of the stress of family caregivers is the Respite Care Coordination program. We are proud to be able to help family caregivers receive the breaks they need to continue offering the best care they can for their loved ones.

The Caregiver Action Network has a resource toolkit for National Family Caregivers Month and a webinar series for caregivers and employers. You can find that toolkit at https://www.caregiveraction.org/nfc2025/

Snapshots from our boat tour in September!

Going on outings like this one are so important to the Independent Living program. Clients are able to explore new parts of their community as a group, which empowers them to return on their own, or with family and friends. This may seem like a small thing to others, but to us it's huge to see people with disabilities included everywhere in their communities.

We remain dedicated to working with individuals with disabilities to find meaningful jobs that they LOVE! It's such a pleasure to be able to help people build skills and grow within their jobs.
