CHCFC's mission is to champion community health by delivering accessible, integrated healthcare, collaborating with patients and the community to improve length and quality of life, and emphasizing healthcare as a fundamental right for all. We are here to provide excellent medical care to all of our patients, regardless of insurance status or income. But it’s more than that… we believe patients have the right to care and resources that are dignified, respectful, compassionate, accessible, and trustworthy for all in a safe and non-threatening environment regardless of their age, appearance, diagnosis, addiction, disabilities, gender identity, language, national origin, race, religion, sex assigned at birth, sexual orientation, or weight/size. We recognize that seemingly small barriers can present major obstacles in getting the care that is needed, so we intentionally implement and participate in programs that meet the needs of our community members who are seeking our care. CHCFC is a 501c3 Federally Qualified Community Health Center serving the community by providing full primary care Medical and Dental services in Franklin County and the North Quabbin Area.

Proud to see the Community Health Center of Franklin County (CHCFC) recognized during the Massachusetts Public Health Excellence Tour for its incredible commitment to rural health and access to care.
When North Quabbin Family Physicians closed earlier this year, CHCFC stepped up — welcoming more than 600 new patients and expanding vital services. The team also opened a pharmacy and dental practice in Orange, ensuring local residents can continue getting the care they need close to home.
As Secretary Dr. Kiame Mahaniah noted during his visit, CHCFC embodies what public health excellence looks like: collaboration, compassion, and community-driven care.
Kudos to Allison van der Velden, Dr. Stephen Segatore, Maria Heidenreich, and the entire CHCFC team for leading the way toward a healthier, more equitable Western Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Secretary of Health and Human Services Dr. Kiame Mahaniah visited three western Massachusetts towns on Monday to see firsthand the Healey-Driscoll administration's investment in local and rural public health shared-service hubs through Public Health Excellence grants.

Founded in 1997, the Community Health Center of Franklin County provides comprehensive healthcare to everyone in our community through our offices in Greenfield and Orange.

All of our clinicians offer an integrated care approach, we provide care that comes from understanding what works best for you. CHCFC offers a complete range of services including primary and preventative healthcare, routine and emergency dental care, nutrition services, family planning, substance abuse services, on-site lab services, insurance enrollment, and more!

We accept a range of health insurance plans including MassHealth, Medicare, and many private insurance plans as well as a sliding fee scale program. We are currently accepting new patients at both locations, call today to learn more!
