This week we had to say goodbye to several of Healing Meadows long term 3+ year patients. Many tears were shed this week as I treated other animals from these families. The animals felt these losses during their appointments too. Sophie needed a little extra love and attention and I was more than happy to give it to her. Thank you all for allowing me the honor of being a part of your family in a little way. 💜

Jet came in showing little signs of pain but would randomly yelp while getting up from a laying down position. She has a history of knee surgery so we left those joints alone and focused in on her pelvis and hips. She did great!

Coco started care last week. 🥰

This sweet girl has been limping on her front left limb and bowing out on her right front (as pictured). Examination revealed quite a bit of tension in her cervicothoracic/shoulder girdle on the left with compensation bowing on the right. She absolutely loved the cranial work to her temporalis muscles on the same side. Excited to see this older gal unwind.

Sophie started care a month ago for stiffness and difficulty getting out of the car. She came in timid and has slowly started to gain some confidence and comfort in the space. She is now jumping out of the car on her own and is generally more comfortable. Nice work sweetie!

Here is a picture of her first day: hiding behind mom. Today she is a little brighter, less haunched through the rear and generally moving better. ❤️❤️❤️

Celebrating my gal today!

She made it to double digits! 10! 🎉

A year ago she was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor in her mouth and we were not sure how aggressive it was. With the help of our primary vet and then a secondary holistic vet we were able to combine treatments. She was prescribed medication, surgery, homeopathic remedies, dietary changes, and supplements to give her the best chance of thriving forward.

When it’s your “job” to take the kids to the bus and mom notices a slight limp… you get an adjustment!

This gal injured her hip long ago and sometimes she gets stiff and needs assistance regrouping. As ahe approaches 10 years old her age is starting to show more and more. 🤫 We are keeping her moving and grooving so that she can continue to do the things she enjoys with her family. 🥰
