Live music is always a hit for all residents at Clement Manor. It brings back memories and sparks moments of joy.
Residents in the West Building had the pleasure to listen to pianist, Heinzel Kunsmann on the Baby Grand in our Rainbow Room. He always draws quite a crowd. We look forward to welcoming him back soon.
Pound Fitness is a fun way for West Building residents to get some exercise. Thanks to Laura Lee for leading this class.
Here's a video from last week with our residents in Assisted Living singing Christmas carols. The favorite reindeer (Mark from therapy) walked by perfectly on cue!
Our Clare Suites Memory Care and Enhanced Assisted LIving residents practice their bell choir songs.
You can listen in and hear them play, "Silver Bells."
Residents in our Independent Building joined a new POUND exercise group with Laura Lee. They drum to the beat of upbeat music, using all parts of their bodies to move while having fun! It's more of a workout than it looks!
Music Therapy intern Ruth Joy led a group of Clare Suites Memory Care and Enhanced Assisted Living residents to perform a bell concert for other residents. They have been practicing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for quite some time, preparing for this performance. Great job to our bell performers!
Our friends in the East building had a jam session as a Rhythm Band. They each chose their own instrument and jammed to the beat of many tunes. What a great way to enjoy friendships and music, improve memory, elevate moods, and simply just have fun!
Our Clare Suites Memory Care and Enhanced Assisted Living residents practice their chime bells for months to perform their holiday music for family and friends. Our music therapist, Ruth Joy, conducted the music. We had a huge turnout in our sunroom for this performance. All our residents wish our friends and family a very blessed new year in 2024!
This holiday season, we asked our residents and staff what they love most about living at Clement Manor. Check out this quick video to see some of their responses.
Blessings and Happy Holidays from all of us at Clement Manor!
From our Clement Manor Family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a joyous holiday season.
Our Independent Living residents were excited to welcome back JimTurk, who hosted a drum circle activity. We had a good crowd beating on drums to the rhythm and songs. We use music and instruments to improve our moods, bring back happy memories, encourage socialization, and promote overall mental and physical health. It's also a fun way to gather with our friends and neighbors to socialize.
Happy Holidays!
The residents in our east building practiced their holiday chimes to many Christmas carol tunes. Check out the beginning tune of Jingle Bells!
