Legacy by Gersh is a Unique all-encompassing therapeutic boarding school and service provider for individuals on the autism spectrum.

Each campus is fully equipped to serve individuals on the autism spectrum at every stage in their life and development. Through a myriad of tried and true approaches, we give students the tools to excel both in school and in the community, fostering greater confidence and success in the future. Our full therapeutic, approach to special education involves extensive social skills, life skills, independence, vocational, and soft skill training alongside academics. With over 30 years of experience changing the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum, Legacy by Gersh is the next step towards the future your child deserves.

We are deeply saddened to have to close our Crotched Mountain campus. Gersh Autism prides itself on putting children first and providing our students with the safest level of care. Due to difficulties brought on by the pandemic, we are unable to continue staffing at the level needed to ensure the high degree of safety and care that Gersh promises to students and families.

Education here is all-encompassing and takes advantage of all that our beautiful campus has to offer.

Academics and therapeutic components are coupled with life/social skills lessons, age-appropriate vocational training, and hands-on learning like in our greenhouse.

After school there is the chance to practice social skills with swims at the lake or pool, trails to hike or ski, bowling alley and other opportunities to get active and have fun.

Students on the autism spectrum can spend their time learning and growing on our beautiful campus at Crotched Mountain.

With over 60 years of servicing the community, Crotched Mountain has a unique history that benefits our students. There are accessible trails and activities, so they can stay active and enjoy nature.

Built into a student’s day along with academics, there are age-appropriate vocational skills, classes and activities for socialization, life skills, and therapeutic services.

Residential and day students get to take advantage of all the opportunities our campus has to offer.
