✨ Did the Greenfield Daily Reporter bring you here? (We were on the front cover! 📰👑)
This year, we hosted our very first Grace & Glory Gala Beauty Pageant—and what a night it was!
The idea sparked when Christina, one of our Life Enrichment Associates, came to Chelsea, our Life Enrichment Director, with the thought: “What if we held a beauty pageant for our ladies?” At first, Chelsea hesitated—would residents enjoy it, or would it feel too stereotypical? But with brainstorming, creativity, and teamwork, it quickly became one of the most unforgettable events we’ve had in over a decade.
To elevate the evening, our Community Lifestyle Director, Sauni, brought in some incredible touches:
✨ Judges from the Mayor’s office
✨ Coverage from the Greenfield Daily Reporter
✨ A local dress shop that donated stunning gowns for each participant to keep
Together the girls also secured:
💄 Mary Kay volunteers for makeup
💇♀️ Our very own Springhurst beautician for hair
💅 A hospice group and Springhurst team to help with nails and behind-the-scenes magic
The judging panel was a powerhouse, featuring the Mayor’s office, company leaders, a former Barbarian model and consultant, and our guest of honor—none other than Miss Indiana 1950, who now lives in our Legacy Memory Care neighborhood. 💖
The evening was full of laughter, cheers, and even a few happy tears. Residents competed in categories like:
👗 Best Evening Gown
🎤 Best Talent
🌟 Style of Choice
👙 Best “Swimsuit” (with playful printed t-shirts!)
Every participant walked away a winner with a sash, crown, and bouquet. Categories included: Showstopper, Miss Congeniality, Best Smile, Most Spirited, Best Gown, Swimsuit Supermodel, Most Photogenic, and more—plus an Overall Winner!
Most importantly, our residents felt celebrated, beautiful, and loved. 💕
A huge thank-you to Chelsea, Christina, Sauni, and the entire Springhurst team for creating a night we will never forget!
👑✨ Grace, Glory, and so much joy filled the room—and this is just the beginning.
