My 5-min lunch today… plain Greek yogurt w/ protein powder topped w/ nut seed granola, fresh berries, chia seeds and PB leftover roasted broccoli topped w/ one chopped garlic clove for a boost. Plus a chai w/ foamed almond milk. Took 5 minutes to throw together PLUS packed w/ 50g of protein 12g fiber.

Just a friendly reminder that a and -filled meal doesn’t have to take a lot of time or planning!

Eating enough protein throughout the day is important for keeping energy levels up all day, as well as building muscle. I find that breakfast can be the toughest part of the day to get enough protein for many of my clients. One of my fave ways to sneak in more protein, esp on days I don’t have a lot of time…🥤SMOOTHIE!

The key to an energizing smoothie? Include enough protein to keep you feeling fuller longer and keeping blood sugar levels stable all day—which means more energy all day.

Why this 🥤 smoothie works for stable blood sugar—and energy—levels…

🥄 Protein: Greek yogurt and protein powder provide a substantial protein source that helps stabilize blood sugar levels and promotes satiety.
🌿 Fiber: Leafy greens, berries, chia seeds and avocado or nut butter, contribute dietary fiber, which slows down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, preventing spikes in blood sugar.
🥑 Healthy Fats: Chia/flax seeds and nut butter or avocado provide unsaturated healthy fats that contribute to the overall satiety and help in maintaining stable blood sugar levels.
