Speaking Up with Purpose: Everyday Disability Advocacy & Self-Advocacy Skills

This month’s Advocacy 101 workshop focuses on Everyday Advocacy, helping participants build confidence to speak up in everyday situations, clearly request needed accommodations or support, and use written communication as a tool to protect their rights.

Know your rights and how to communicate your needs clearly
Use simple advocacy tools to ask for accommodations with confidence
Create change through everyday actions that promote access and inclusion

Get unfrozen and moving with us at today's Easy Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga with Pam offers a gentle, accessible yoga experience led by one of our Community Outreach Specialists.
Pam will go over adaptive movements using chairs and mobility aids, making this class ideal for individuals of all abilities who want to improve flexibility, strength, and relaxation in a supportive environment. Join in person or virtually!

At DAC, leadership means empowering individuals with disabilities to use their voices and create change. Through our network and training programs, we help leaders speak up in their communities, fostering a new generation of advocates and a future where leadership is inclusive, community-centered, and transformative.

The DAC office will be closed on Monday, February 16th in observance of Presidents Day. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday, February 17th.
