Soothing your child when they’re upset isn’t spoiling the child. It teaches that they can rely on someone outside of themselves for comfort and compassion.

Skin to skin isn’t just an after birth practice, it’s a life long process that starts post birth.

Community has the power to break your pursuit of purpose or thrust you into becoming.
I would like to extend the opportunity for my brothers to join our virtual book club. The books for February-July are seen in this post, in order.
Meetings will occur bi-weekly to discuss the book, its impact on our lives, and collective thoughts regarding the literature covered.

“You may think these kids are “too young” and not watching but they are watching 👀....

This is why I believe Jesus said: Bring the little children to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these...

Easy tips to immediately incorporate in your home today to ensure that our children desire a life fully committed to The Lord...

⚓️ Anchor scripture: Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it”
1. Have scripture around the house (decor) it might not be aesthetically pleasing but it’s great and powerful daily reminders for everyone in the home coming & going!
2. Pray in front of your kids, Let them hear and see you communing with God. They will then learn where to turn for answers, healing, peace etc... because mommy & daddy will not always be here....they NEED God!
3. Read your Bible in front of them. One day they will ask what you’re reading and you can introduce them to The Word of God with will be a light to thier feet...
4. We watch our mouths! There is no cursing in our home! The Bible says: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” Allow your kids to hear you speaking LIFE!”

The Family Recovery Support Group bridges the gap between the individual recovery journey and the family. The recovery process requires a great deal of work on an individual level which can be confusing for the family. In an effort to support those in recovery and their families we offer this group as an informational hub, forwarding community, and creating space for understanding substance use dependency, trauma, addiction, and co-occurring mental health disorders. This group is free to the public for all who register. Registration can be found in our group services tab.

Navigating trauma can be difficult for everyone involved. The church has historically been a safe place for those seeking guidance, community, security, and instruction. However, we do ourselves a disservice in forwarding those safe spaces when we are uninformed on how to identify when someone is in crisis or dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic experience. Registration for our trauma informed ministry presentation will open January 1st. This is a great opportunity for ministers, practitioners, leaders, and all interested to learn how to navigate trauma in ministry, how it manifests, and resources available for use.

God will take what we thought would take us out and use it to set us up for greater. We may not always get to where we’re going smoothly, but God will get you there.
It’s not an L if it’s a set up for greater, better, and bigger. Chase your dreams, don’t die with them unfulfilled.
