We are incredibly proud to share that we have been named as one of the recipients of the Inaugural Building Capacity Together Grant through the Cone Health Foundation.

It is truly an honor to be recognized and supported in this way. This investment in our work affirms our commitment to strengthening our organization and deepening the impact we make every day. The Building Capacity Together Grant represents more than funding it represents partnership, trust, and a shared vision for a healthier, more equitable community.

We are excited for what’s ahead and look forward to continuing to grow, collaborate, and make a meaningful difference within our community.

Thank you to the Cone Health Foundation for believing in our mission and in the power of working together to create lasting change.

Capacity building is not just about the operations of an organization today–it’s an investment in the growth and effectiveness of the organization into the future, ultimately allowing these organizations to scale their engagement with the communities they serve.

This month, in honor of Black History Month, our members took part in a special program that was both educational and inspiring! They each selected an influential figure in Black history, researched their life and accomplishments, and then presented clues to the group. Based on the information they shared, we had to guess who they were representing!

Our members did an amazing job presenting their figures with confidence and creativity. Not only did we learn so much, but we also had a lot of fun guessing and celebrating the incredible contributions of Black leaders past and present. ❤️🖤💚

We recently had the pleasure of interviewing Rodney Marshall, a valued volunteer here at Journey Adult Day Center!!

Rodney shared his heartfelt experience of being part of the Journey family and what volunteering here means to him. His dedication, compassion, and positive spirit truly make a difference in the lives of our participants every day.

We are so grateful to have Rodney as part of our Journey family! 💙

Today we hosted the first Lunch & Learn of the year and it was an amazing time. Thank you to all those who came out to learn more about what we do here at Journey Adult Day Center and within the community. Journey Adult Day Center with support from the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro is launching an exciting youth program for girls ages 12–16!

This inspiring program is designed to spark interest in health and medical careers through hands-on learning and real-world exploration. Participants will:
Discover a variety of medical and health career paths
Earn certifications in Nutrition
Get CPR & First Aid certified
Build skills in Wellness & Healthy Living
Perfect for girls who are curious, motivated, and ready to explore their future in healthcare!
