Nurses spend so much time caring for others that we often forget to care for ourselves. Long shifts. Emotional exhaustion. Burnout. Compassion fatigue.

Healthcare workers carry so much behind the scenes mentally, emotionally, and physically. So today’s reminder is simple:💚 You cannot pour from an empty cup.

Here are 5 ways nurses can help avoid burnout:
-Take your breaks even short moments matter
-Prioritize sleep and hydration
-Set emotional boundaries when possible
-Ask for help and lean on your support system
-Make time for things that bring YOU peace

Today we spent time OUTSIDEEE! Yes we were outside in the community connecting with local professionals, dropping off resources, and sharing more about what we do at Tourmaline Home Care. Building strong community relationships matters because quality care starts with connection, trust, and support.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to introduce our mission and services to the people who work hard every day caring for others.
