Complications are one of the hardest realities of plastic surgery — for patients and for surgeons.

No matter how carefully a procedure is planned, the only way to guarantee zero complications is to never operate at all. Surgery involves human beings, healing biology, and variables that can’t always be perfectly controlled.

What matters most is how those moments are handled when they happen.

My general approach is simple:
• Listen first and truly understand the patient’s perspective
• Be transparent about what’s happening and take ownership when appropriate
• Create a clear plan to do everything within our control to get things back on track

These situations are stressful for everyone involved, but they’re also the moments where great doctors separate themselves. Not because complications never happen — but because of how they respond when they do.

If you’re considering elective cosmetic surgery, don’t just ask about before-and-after photos. Ask what the process looks like if something doesn’t go perfectly. The answer to that question matters more than most people realize.

Her treatment plan was customized each visit based on what the skin needed at the time. We focused on reducing congestion, softening uneven texture, improving overall skin clarity, and supporting barrier health throughout the process. Treatments included targeted exfoliation, extractions where needed, hydration, and ingredients selected to help calm inflammation without overstimulating the skin.

You can see a noticeable improvement in overall smoothness, congestion, and skin quality while still keeping the skin healthy and balanced.
