Most of the time for a small business owner, especially a service based job, having unpredictable weather is…well, a little scary. It’s hard to know when things will have some semblance of normalcy or will it hit again *cough cough as we just had*
While I am ready to get back to work in full capacity and be back on a routine, I am really grateful for this weather the last two weekends.
Being a small business owner at the same time means you never get to disconnect. People are always messaging you, you’re in charge of your own marketing and advertising, and then if you’re a parent like me, add all of that on top of it.
I disconnected HARD from as much of business and social media and electronics as I could and man did it feel good. This world has been so heavy and it feels like we’re constantly trying to find some footing.
I spent some really quality time with my little and friends within the neighborhood. Made new friends. Made core memories. Read two books. Cooked. Went to bed early AF. Lived in the quiet and got comfortable with that again.
So for everyone I didn’t answer these past couple of weeks, as much as I’d like to apologize, I’m not going to. We’ve become a world of instant gratification and expect to have everything at our fingertips the moment we want it. I’m exhausted as I’m sure many others have been too and I took my time.
It’s been well fu***ng deserved.
