Early June, I had the opportunity to represent Second Harvest Food Bank at the White House Feeding America event.

It was an absolute honor but I can’t stop there. We cannot honor ancestors more than we respect and take care of our elders.

Many are suffering with the hard decision to purchase the medication they need or buy the proper food needed for their specialized diet. All because they have worked all of their lives, retired only to be told they make $19 over income to receive any assistance OR they can get $23/month in food assistance.
