I carry several tools in my birth bag that rarely get used. The one tool I use most often is my hands. Whether it's counter pressure, hip squeeze, knee press, or returning stray strands of hair, my hands are always reaching out to offer comfort and support to my clients during labor. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

How cute is this? My client brought these beautiful flowers to her labor room. After an amazing birth my client gifted the small bouquets to her midwife, her nurse, and myself, then kept one for her postpartum room. As I go to each birth, I am not always sure who will be on the birth team that day- this was an awesome team!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
