The joys of motherhood are many - and they most assuredly start before the baby even arrives! A gender reveal party for our mom, Star, gave us all visions of her beautiful baby boy and all the dreams of his beloved arrival. We had lots of other moms and moms-to-be in attendance. Special thanks to Wanda Griffin who makes every mom event so, so special for Room At The Inn moms!

Come and join the Kernersville celebrations this Saturday! Volunteer Center - Room at the Inn will have a tent at the Kernersville History Museum site all day - lots of info and a few prizes to give away!

St. Joseph's Table, which is a medieval celebration where the community came together to feast, those with plenty sharing with those in need, gave us the perfect celebration to bring our staff and our mothers together. Plenty of food and laughter was shared by everyone!

Our staff members that helped to serve the meal included Jennifer Kimbrell, Jason Melton, Fr. Felix Nkafu, Lynne McGrath, Wanda Griffin and Albert Hodges. These humbling moments remind us all how much we need one another to give and receive the love of God.

We love how much our mothers are loved and cared for - by so many folks! Jataysjah, a current student at A&T, dropped by to share some homemade gifts with our moms. Our staff member Amanda, Case Worker Specialist, was there to receive the gifts and talk with Jataysjah who is working towards a degree in Social Work. Please keep all of wonderful supporters like Jataysjah in your prayers!

Such a warm and cozy blessing! Holy Family of Hillsborough, NC in the Diocese of Raleigh visited the volunteer center today and donated many, many quilts for our Room At The Inn babies. Angie Lukhard, Education and Training Specialist at our Volunteer Center, was there to receive them. Acts of love and kindness abound!

Getting out for some warmer weather and some fresh air - our mothers took advantage of Greensboro's Trails and Greenways that were recently featured in local news at the turn of the new year. Fun was had by all!

These wonderful ladies at Cone Behavioral Health made this very generous donation for our mothers today at the shelter. Their gifts included warming blankets and personal cleansing items along with some snacks and necessities. Thank you for supporting our moms and babies!
