A Greensboro native with over 13 years of experience in the optical field, Shea became a licensed optician in 2020 and joined our team in 2021. She’s the go-to expert for all things glasses — from helping you find the perfect frame to ensuring you seeing perfectly out of your lenses.

When she’s not helping patients see their best, Shea loves spending time with her family, watching baseball, and soaking up summer vacations and weekends at the beach. ☀️⚾🏖️

💙 November is Diabetic Eye Health Awareness Month

Did you know that diabetes is one of the leading causes of preventable blindness in adults?

Welcome Dr. Kelly Zwiesdak to Battleground Eye Care! Dr. Zwiesdak was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania. She completed her undergraduate studies at Arcadia University, receiving a BA in Chemistry. She went on to earn her BS in Visual Science and her Doctor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus at Drexel University). During that time she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa as well as the Student Optometric Service to Humanity (SOSH).
After graduating in 2002, Dr. Zwiesdak practiced in Binghamton, NY for five years before relocating to North Carolina in 2008. She currently resides in Greensboro with her partner Richard and their young son Xander. When she is not practicing comprehensive optometry, she enjoys gardening, puzzles, board games and relaxing with her family. We’re thrilled to have Dr. Zwiesdak bring her experience, expertise, and dedication to our practice — please join us in giving her a warm Battleground Eye Care welcome!
