March is here, which means it’s Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month—a time to shine a light on a disease that is now the leading cancer related killer of adults under 50.

The most powerful tool we have?
Colonoscopy.
It’s the only screening test that not only finds colorectal cancer early but can prevent it entirely by removing pre cancerous polyps.

This month, we encourage you to:

💙 Prioritize your screening
💙 Encourage loved ones to get checked
💙 Share this message to help save lives

Colonoscopy is proven. It’s preventive. And it could save your life.

Did you know?

Colorectal cancer is the most common cause of cancer death among adults under age 50—but it doesn’t have to be.
A colonoscopy is the only screening tool that can actually prevent colorectal cancer, not just detect it. During a colonoscopy, pre cancerous polyps can be found and removed before they become dangerous.

This March, we’re encouraging our community to take charge of their health:

✔️ Age 45+? It's time to schedule.
✔️ Family history? Talk with your provider about earlier screening.
✔️ Have symptoms? Don’t delay—call today.

Protect yourself. Protect your future. 💙

Colorectal cancer is now the #1 cancer killer in those under age 50. This is a scary trend, and AMSURG is working to beat this trend through education and screening.

Today in Washington, D.C., AMSURG representatives Abbey Vandersall, M.D., SVP Quality and Clinical Operations, Chief Clinical Officer and Regional Marketing Director Alina Martinez rallied with many organizations for more awareness and more access to screening and treatment for colorectal cancer.

March is Women’s History Month. We’re celebrating the women who have shaped healthcare, from trailblazers like Elizabeth Blackwell and Florence Nightingale to the incredible women across AMSURG who care for patients every day.

To all the clinical professionals, administrative teams and support staff in our 250+ centers: thank you for the compassion, skill and dedication you bring to the communities we serve.

This month is also a reminder for women to take care of themselves. Preventive screenings like colonoscopies are key to early detection and lifelong health. You matter, so make your health a priority.

27,400 flags represent 27,400 lives ages 20-49 who will be impacted by colorectal cancer by 2030.

Today representatives from AMSURG worked with hundreds of volunteers to set up a display of 27,400 blue flags on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the most visited national park in the U.S.

Each flag tells a powerful story, as it represents a diagnosis that can be prevented with timely screening. This March, AMSURG is united with to raise awareness for . 💪 These flags honor young lives that can be saved through action and awareness. These flags will remain on display through March 14th! 🌸

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Colorectal cancer is now the #1 cause of cancer-related death in adults under 50—a statistic that continues to rise. But there is good news: colonoscopy is the only screening test that both detects AND prevents colorectal cancer by removing pre-cancerous polyps before they ever turn into cancer.

If you’re 45 or older, or have a family history, now is the time to get screened. Early detection saves lives—and prevention starts with one appointment.

Your health can’t wait. Schedule your colonoscopy today.
