Join us in welcoming Dr. Astrid Rivera! She will begin seeing patients this month!
Dr. Rivera is a distinguished dentist and medical aesthetic doctor renowned for her integrative approach to oral and facial aesthetics. As the founder of Restore Skin and Smile, Dr. Rivera has dedicated over 28 years to enhancing her patients’ smiles and overall facial appearance with exceptional precision and care.
Dr. Rivera began her journey in dentistry at a very young age of 14, she started working in a dental laboratory. Her passion for the field was ignited by her early exposure to dental care. She continued her studies, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Interamerican University, before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Marquette School of Dentistry in Milwaukee (1992). Following her dental training Dr. Rivera enlisted in the United States Army as a Dental Officer. During her service, she was stationed at various military bases, providing critical dental service to service members and their families. Her experience in the military honed her skills in high -pressure environments and fostered a deep commitment to excellence and discipline. Upon completing her military service, Dr. Rivera transitioned to civilian practice, where she founded Restore Skin and Smile, a leading facility known for its integration of advanced dental and aesthetic treatments.
Her practice integrates dental care with aesthetic treatments, offering comprehensive solutions for enhancing both oral health and facial beauty. Her approach is grounded in personalized care, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and innovative techniques to deliver natural-looking results.
In 2003, Dr. Rivera completed a certification program in Orthodontics, from the prestigious FORCE Institute, in Michigan. In 2021, she completed a Post Doctoral degree in Expert Aesthetic Medicine and surgery, in Barcelona, Spain.
Technology is rapidly changing, and in order to take advantage of these new benefits, she takes numerous continuing education classes, and attends conferences and seminars.
Dr. Rivera is dedicated to giving back to the community, participating in local health fairs and supporting initiatives that provide dental care to under served populations. She also mentors dental students, sharing her expertise and passion for the profession. Her military background also drives her involvement in veteran-focused health and wellness programs.
She is an active member of American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), International Academy of Aesthetic, Cirujanos Dentistas de Puerto Rico and International Academy of Aesthetic.
