Stage fright isn’t about confidence.
It’s your nervous system trying to protect you.

➡️ That racing heart.
➡️ Shaky voice.
➡️ Blank mind.

So many people think:
“Something is wrong with me.”

Nothing is wrong with you.
Your body just learned fear around being seen or judged.

The good news? You can retrain it.

🎥 In this video I explain what’s happening — and how to calm it.

💬 Do you experience this before speaking or presenting?

Trauma doesn’t stay in the past.
It often shows up in relationships — especially when you’re trying to feel close.

Here are common ways trauma impacts couples:
1. Hypervigilance (always scanning for danger)
2. Emotional shutdown (numbness, avoiding conflict)
3. Big reactions to small triggers
4. Fear of abandonment (clingy, reassurance-seeking)
5. Avoidance of intimacy (physical or emotional)
6. Control issues (needing certainty to feel safe)
7. Misinterpreting tone (assuming criticism or rejection)

💛 Trauma responses are not character flaws — they’re survival strategies.

The goal is not blame.
The goal is learning how to create safety and build secure connection.

Here are common signs of trauma in teens (that often get mislabeled):
1. Irritability / anger outbursts
2. Withdrawal or isolating
3. Sudden drop in grades or motivation
4. Hypervigilance (always on edge, easily startled)
5. Sleep issues / nightmares
6. Risk-taking or impulsive behaviors
7. Strong reactions to “small” things
8. Avoidance of people/places/activities

Trauma isn’t always about what happened — it’s about what the brain and body still feel.

💛 Help is available, and healing is possible.

Self-regulation isn’t “calm down.”
It’s learning how to tell your body: “I’m safe right now.” 💛

When your nervous system doesn’t feel safe, it will:
• overthink
• panic
• shut down
• get irritable
• go numb
• stay on alert

Self-regulation is the skill of coming back to safety — even when life is stressful.

Try this today:
✅ slow your breathing
✅ relax your jaw + shoulders
✅ name what you feel
✅ orient your eyes to the room
✅ remind your body: “Right now, I’m safe.”

Thinking Error: Mind Reading 🧠

This is when your brain assumes you know what someone else is thinking — without actual evidence.

Examples:
• “They’re mad at me.”
• “I sounded stupid.”
• “They think I’m annoying.”
• “They don’t like me.”

Mind reading fuels:
✅ anxiety
✅ overthinking
✅ relationship conflict
✅ people-pleasing

Truth: You can’t read minds.
But you can notice the story your brain creates — and challenge it.

Depression doesn’t always look like sadness.
For many people, it shows up quietly.

It can look like:
• Constant exhaustion
• Feeling numb or disconnected
• Irritability or low patience
• Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy
• Pushing through while struggling internally

Recognizing the signs isn’t about labels.
It’s about awareness, compassion, and knowing when support may help.
