Local artist Jim Corkhill was here at WhiteStone today to instruct Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. He is so calm and patient, which always makes for a very relaxing afternoon. Today we painted beautiful butterflies with a sunset backdrop.

Our residents love coming to this class! Jim's teaching style makes sure that every participant is successful, no matter their experience level. He proves that everyone can create something beautiful, even when they think they can't.

We strive to make sure our residents are fulfilled in all areas of life, and exploring their creativity is just one way we do that. We look forward to having Jim back next month to paint a wonderful beach scene!

Yesterday, we had the honor of celebrating an extraordinary milestone as Louise Styers turned 100 years young! 💯
She was surrounded by family, fellow residents, and so much love during a joyful birthday celebration — complete with laughter, memories, and not one, but TWO beautiful cakes! 🎂🎂
It was a truly special day honoring a century of life, love, and cherished moments. Happy 100th Birthday, Louise — what a beautiful celebration and an incredible legacy! 💐💖

Today’s American Red Cross Blood Drive at WhiteStone was a wonderful success! Thanks to our generous donors, we collected 14 productive units of blood—that’s the potential to save up to 42 lives. 🩸✨
Every blood donation matters. A single donation can be separated into components that help trauma patients, cancer patients, surgical patients, and so many others in need. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood, and today our community answered that call in a powerful way.
We are so grateful to everyone who rolled up their sleeves, supported the drive, and helped make a life‑saving difference. Your kindness and generosity truly make an impact far beyond our campus.

Today we celebrate Kristen Salkeld our Certified Dietary Manager, whose genuine heart and professionalism shine through in every interaction with our residents. She thoughtfully supports therapeutic dietary needs, offers compassionate counseling, and partners closely with families to ensure each person receives personalized care.

Kristen also enjoys collaboration with the CLS team who work closely with residents through all phases of care. Together their effort ensures that every resident receives personalized attention and the support needed to meet their dietary needs.

Her collaboration with coworkers helps create meals that are not only nutritious but comforting and tailored to individual preferences. Kristen’s dedication enriches daily life in our community and elevates the dining experience for everyone she serves.
