The programming you developed before you even knew it was happening is still shaping how you see, interpret, and react to everything around you. Two people can experience the exact same moment and land in completely different places. Neither is wrong. Neither is more valid. That is just how human beings work.

The question is not why you react the way you do. The question is what you want to do with that awareness once you have it.

If you start to understand forces, you get to use them better. That is wellness in real time.

In the studio, I teach people to work with and against gravity. In life, we learn to work with and against love. In the mind, we train attention and the frame we put around what is happening.

Here is the simple map.
🧘 Gravity. Train the body with structure and resistance.
🧠 Attention. Train the mind by choosing what you focus on.
🤍 Love. Train the spirit by letting life soften you and strengthen you.

These forces are always there. The practice is learning when to lean in, when to steady yourself, and when to apply effort so your life becomes more functional, more powerful, and more well.

A lot of people I work with believe that harsh inner voice is keeping them accountable. Like if they go easy on themselves, they'll stop showing up. I get why it feels that way. But it's actually backwards.

When you talk to yourself like a threat, your body responds like it's under threat. Your muscles hold. Your breath gets shallow. Your stress hormones go up. And over time, that constant low-grade self-attack doesn't push you forward.

Five Ways to Start Shifting the Voice

✅ Name it when you hear it - When the critic shows up, just say to yourself, "There's the critic." You're just noticing it for
what it is.

Worrying won't make me more prepared—but being thoughtful will. 🧘‍♂️

I’ve spent plenty of time stressing over what might happen, but I've realized that worry is just a distraction from the present moment. For me, being thoughtful means staying connected to myself at a deeper level.

It’s about paying attention to the signs and symbols around us. Think about how animals react before a big storm—they sense the pressure systems and the temperature changes long before the snow starts falling. We have that same biological intuition if we’re present enough to listen to it.

I’m not talking about predicting the future; I’m talking about being here, right now, so I'm ready for whatever comes my way.
