At the ribbon cutting for the new Kiser Middle School in Greensboro, our Director of Homecare Kate Mooney’s daughter joined two of our beloved residents, Mary and Bob Plybon, in song. 🌟 Even more special—the Plybons’ granddaughter attends the school too!

🌊 Paddles up! At Well-Spring, summer wellness means more than workouts—it means getting out on the water.

For the past four years, residents have turned kayaking at Lake Higgins into a favorite tradition, blending light cardio, fresh air, laughter and lasting friendships.

Recently, our Environmental Services leader, Andria, turned 40—and her team showed up big to make her feel loved and appreciated. From decorations to sweet surprises, it was a true testament to the care and connection we foster here every day.

Big thanks to Well•Spring, A Life Plan Community for their continued support of MGS and the playbill. The gorgeous Virginia Sommerville Theater located on the Well-Spring campus always has fantastic entertainment offerings that you shouldn't miss!

To provide convenient programming for residents, Well-Spring partners with many of the region’s foremost arts and educational organizations. Music for a Great Space has featured performances on this fantastic stage many times, including the Thalea String Quartet performance in November of 2022. At Well-Spring, retirement is a time to give back. Resident Maurice Schwartz repairs bikes for those in need through local nonprofit Bikesboro — all from the community’s woodworking shop. Creative Greensboro presents “Twelfth Night” a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s play conceived by Shaina Taub and Kwame Kwei-Armah, and directed by Todd Fisher, Micaela Bundy and Carrie Plew. Shows will be June 26-28 at 7:30 p.m. and June 29 at 2 p.m. in the Virginia Somerville Sutton Theatre at Wellspring. The June 28 performance will feature American Sign Language Interpretation and the June 29 performance will feature audio description. Tickets are available at www.creativegreensboro.com

This week, Steve Fleming -- who started with Well-Spring in 2000 and went on to become the co-CEO of its parent company, Kintura, announced he is stepping away from leading continuing care retirement communities and other services for older adults after 40 years in the business. We kicked off the day at Well-Spring with our annual Health Fair! Residents and team members had an opportunity to invite family and friends to attend. We had over 25 vendors, health screenings, and informative presentations to help us learn how to live our healthiest lives...and have some fun while doing it! Everyone who visited at least 10 tables has been entered into a $50.00 raffle - a great incentive to connect, learn and celebrate health together. Thanks to all who made today a success!
