Feeling more irritable lately? You’re not alone — and it might not just be stress. It could be the heat. 🔥

“Heat rage” is a real phenomenon. When temperatures soar, your body and brain go into overdrive. Heat can increase cortisol levels, disrupt your sleep, and strain your ability to regulate emotions. That means even minor annoyances might feel harder to tolerate — and your patience might disappear faster than your iced coffee.

Common signs of heat-related emotional burnout include irritability, a short temper, anxiety spikes, and that heavy, unmotivated feeling that’s hard to shake. If this sounds familiar, know that your nervous system is doing its best to cope — but it might need extra support.

Here are four ways to cool your emotional system down:
💧 Stay hydrated (dehydration = mood swings)
🧊 Prioritize cool, calming environments
🍌 Don’t skip meals — blood sugar matters more in extreme heat
🧘 Build in quiet, low-stimulation time to reset

Your mood isn’t “too much.” You’re reacting to real physiological stress. Be gentle with yourself and others — and reach out if this season feels especially heavy. We’re here to help. 🌿
