The SHU DPT students had the opportunity to learn from a local hospital PT/OT CICU team as they demonstrated safe and effective management of patients with lines, tubes, and drains. 🏥👏

Hands-on experiences like these help prepare our future clinicians to provide confident, compassionate, and collaborative care in critical care settings. Thank you to the incredible CICU team for sharing your expertise and giving our students valuable real-world insight into interdisciplinary patient management!

⚖️ Putting professionalism into practice!

SHU DPT 2nd-year students recently stepped into the courtroom for a mock trial experience as part of their Professional Responsibilities course. Through this hands-on activity, students explored real-world applications of ethics and malpractice, gaining insight into the legal and professional standards that guide physical therapy practice.

Experiences like these help prepare our future clinicians to navigate complex situations with integrity and confidence. 💼🧠

The DPT Class of 2028 got hands-on experience with EMG/NCS testing in the lab! ⚡🧠

A big thank you to Paula Glasser for sharing her clinical expertise and giving our students the opportunity to explore nerve conduction studies and electromyography in action. Experiences like this help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice—preparing our future physical therapists to better understand neuromuscular function and patient care.

The DPT Class of 2027 took a break from the books to enjoy a little spring fun with an egg hunt! From hidden surprises to lots of laughs, it was the perfect way to recharge and connect outside the classroom.
