Thankful Hearts is a new program for patients, families, and community members to recognize the caregivers and staff at DCMH who made a difference during their care experience.

The first recipient is 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗶𝗻, a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, who was recognized by a grateful patient for her compassion, dedication, and exceptional care.

DCMH is offering CPR classes for first responders and health care providers available to the public in conjunction with the Decatur County Family YMCA. Following the class, attendees will receive a YMCA Guest Pass.

𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞 💖

A spirit of giving fills the Surgery Department at DCMH this holiday season, thanks to a team-led initiative inspired by one nurse's idea.

Hannah, a nurse in Surgery, wanted a fun and meaningful holiday project for the team, and with the help of fellow nurse McKinsey and her husband to build a wooden donation tree, the project to collect food items was set!

Food donations collected by the Surgery team, patients, visitors, and other hospital staff will be donated to the Decatur County AGAPE Center.
