Pittsburgh Business Times Best Places to work, and we think we have some of the best staff at the SWC program too!

We are excited to announce that Pressley Ridge has been named a 2025 Pittsburgh Business Times Best Place to Work! Awardees are selected based on the results of independent employee surveys that cover a variety of factors, including job and salary satisfaction and perspectives on management.

Pressley Ridge and the other Best Places to Work honorees will be celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at PNC Park during the Pirates’ afternoon home game.

Our Story

Each year, Pressley Ridge helps thousands of children learn, grow and thrive through the support of a safe and nurturing foster home. And it all starts with one person deciding to be the difference for a child in need.

Our treatment foster care program exists to make sure children are safe and provided with a nurturing environment until they can return home or become adopted. Children range in age from babies to young adults who may have their own children. They have had difficult experiences in their life and removal from their home can be traumatic. Our treatment parents provide the love, care, skills and supervision to help them overcome these difficult experiences.

The Southwest Counties Treatment Foster Care program serves Fayette, Greene, Washington, Somerset, Armstrong, Indiana, Cambria and Westmoreland counties.
