Margaret Makar entered RNC after undergoing an elective total hip replacement. She could not move her right leg enough to get into and out of bed. She needed assistance with transfers and ambulation, and suffered from a great deal of pain. Margaret progressed so well in therapy she was soon walking with a walker in the halls with family and friends. She participated in home simulation tasks in our kitchen, and she learned how to use adaptive equipment to achieve her independence. We are happy to report Margaret was able to return home alone! We wish her continued good health and success!

Resident success! Lewis Reich arrived at RNC after falling at home & suffering a hip fracture. He also had many other medical issues, and he was dependent on staff for all care and mobility. After 6 weeks of aggressive Occupational & Physical therapy focusing on functional tasks, strengthening, and balance—Lewis was able to maximize his independence and return home! Enjoy the rest of your summer Lewis, and we wish you ongoing good health!
